$44 Million trial judgment for Electric Shock

Plaintiff was injured by an electric shock that burned large portions of his body. Judgment was obtained in favor of both he and his wife.

U.S. long grain rice producers suffered losses when a non-approved genetically modified rice contaminated the U.S. rice supply. This reduced U.S. rice exports. After years of litigation, Bayer agreed to a global settlement of ~$750 million.

Confidential Settlement for Trucking Accident

Plaintiff was struck by a retailer's semi-truck causing him hip, back, and head injuries. Settlement was achieved through mediation prior to trial.

Confidential Settlement during trial against ADM

Nearly 200 farmers sued ADM, one of the largest grain companies in the US. The Plaintiff farmers alleged ADM played a role in furthering a grain fraud scheme against the farmers. After years of pre-trial litigation, ADM settled during trial.

Confidential Settlement in Medical Malpractice case for TSS

A woman developed TSS (toxic shock syndrome) that led to amputations of her legs and fingers while under the care of a hospital's ICU. A confidential settlement was obtained despite complicated medical and jurisdictional issues.

Confidential Settlement for Insurance Bad Faith

A car insurance company put its interest ahead of its insured and failed to settle a claim against her before trial. At trial, the insured woman suffered a large judgment against her due to the insurance company's "bad faith". In the subsequent bad faith case against the insurance company, it settled with its insured for the the entire judgment and then some.
